Construction News, NewsJohn Sisk & Son has reached the first milestone in its 2030 Sustainability Roadmap by being certified as a carbon-neutral business.
Sisk achieved certification under the Achilles Carbon Reduce Programme in early 2021 by having its 2019 baseline and 2020 carbon footprint externally verified. As well as achieving a reduction in carbon emissions during 2020, Sisk has also offset their outstanding emissions through internationally verified carbon reduction projects.
ohn Sisk & Son, in partnership with Quintain, is proud to have delivered a combined total of 1,201 new homes at two major new landmark developments E03 Canada Gardens and E05 The Robinson, Wembley Park. Both projects have a combined value of £420m and were delivered successfully despite the Covid-19 pandemic.
Construction News, Latest, NewsJohn Sisk & Son’s new cohort of carpentry and joinery apprentices has completed one of Sisk’s first tree planting exercises as part of its commitment to planting 1.7 million native woodland trees over the next nine years. Sisk’s new group of apprentices got stuck in to help plant the trees near Manor Kilbride in Co Wicklow.
