This November, Movember is back and asking people across Ireland to help build a future where fewer men die too young.
Why it matters
One in eight Irish men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer. Three in four lives lost to suicide in Ireland are men. Testicular cancer is the most common cancer among young men. These aren’t just numbers. They’re our colleagues, friends, fathers, brothers and sons.
What Movember does in Ireland
Movember is the leading charity changing the face of men’s health. Funds raised in Ireland support work on mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer. That includes ‘Ahead of the Game’, our sport-based mental health programme, which has trained thousands of young players, parents and coaches across Ireland to spot when someone is struggling. It also funds support tools such as True North for prostate cancer and Nuts & Bolts for testicular cancer.
The Mo Construction Challenge
The Mo Construction Challenge brings together trades, builders, developers, suppliers and professionals from across the industry. For 30 days, teams grow moustaches, raise money and compete on a live leaderboard to be crowned top fundraising team in Irish construction. Whether you’re on site, in the office or on the road, you can take part.
How to get involved
- Sign up at ie.movember.com and create your Mo Space.
- Set up a company team and get the crew on board.
- Join the Mo Construction Challenge.
- Challenge your competitors, suppliers and partners to do the same.
- Not growing a mo? You can Move for mental health, host a Mo-ment or Mo Your Own Way.
