Following a period of substantial growth over the past five years in which JJ Rhatigan & Company has delivered in excess 3,500 private and social homes, 12,000 school places, nine third-level campus facilities, 2,000 student accommodation bedrooms, close to 1,300 hotel bedrooms, 16 healthcare facilities, and over 40,000 sq metres of office and commercial space, the building contractor is expanding its senior team to deliver on an ambitious pipeline of future projects.
Padraic Rhatigan will continue as group managing director and chairman and the other companies within the Rhatigan Group, while Ger Ronayne has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Padraic Rhatigan is the second-generation leader of JJ Rhatigan & Co. He has led the group into the development field in the 1990s. Under his leadership, it expanded into new sectors and geographical regions with offices throughout Ireland and in the UK. During this time, the business has grown significantly and now directly employs more than 420 people. The company also has many suppliers and subcontractors with which it works on an ongoing basis.
Ger Ronayne has worked with JJ Rhatigan & Co for 23 years, joining the company as a senior engineer in 1998. He has most recently served as chief operating officer. In this new role, Ronayne will continue to lead business areas for key clients and drive the formulation and development of strategy and organisational capability to ensure the ongoing success of the building contractor.
