MMD Construction projects

In 2021, MMD Construction completed work on the Carrigaline Education Campus, which is one of the largest ever school developments to be undertaken in the country. The 21-acre campus has three schools.

In early 2022, MMD Construction completed the construction of 51 A-rated houses in Clonakilty for Cork County Council. The development also saw a historic protected structure brought back into use. The Lower Tawnies Cottage, from the late 1800s, is a listed building. This was incorporated into the housing development as residential units with due attention paid to best conservation practice.

MMD Construction was the main contractor and design lead for the construction of a new primary care centre (PCC) in Bandon. The PCC provides over 4,500 sq metres of healthcare space, as well as having a ground floor library and retail units. The company recently completed the Heather House Community Nursing Unit at St Mary’s Health Campus, Gurranabraher, Cork. This fast-track design and build project employed off-site construction technologies.

MMD Construction is currently on site working on several exciting projects throughout Cork. These include a three-storey school in Blarney for Scoil Mhuire Gan Smál; a primary school at Carrignavar; multiple residential design and build projects in Cork city centre; an anodising plant in Little Island, Cork, and a new extension at St Joseph’s Community Hospital, Millstreet.
