Irish Wheelchair Association (IWA) recently celebrated the refurbishment of its facilities in the Dr Oliver Murphy Sports Centre, Clontarf, Dublin. The refurbishment was completed by charity partner John Paul Construction and gave the interior of the ground floor space a much-needed new look. The work included the installation of a new reception area, new flooring and a paint upgrade of the interior area.

The sports centre offers IWA members and the local community a variety of services, including an accessible gym, a full-sized sports hall for a wide range of wheelchair sports and other sports clubs. The new look gives a warm welcome to everyone who visits.
Commenting on the refurbishment, Rosemary Keogh, CEO, IWA, said: “We at Irish Wheelchair Association are delighted that John Paul Construction came on board and completed this much-needed work at our Sports Centre. Fitness is a key aspect of our members’ lives, and this work will make the centre far more accessible for them. No doubt our members will like the changes.”
