The DataCentres Ireland Conference will take place on 20th and 21st November at the RDS, Dublin. The conference will provide attendees with an opportunity to see why Ireland’s programme of data centre rollout has been so successful and learn about current and future developments in the sector as well as the latest innovations that are on the horizon.
“Ireland offers companies some unique opportunities both as a country and as an access point to the European markets,” says Gerry Connolly, Founder and President of Host in Ireland, who will open the conference.
Last year’s DataCentres Ireland Conference brought together over 1,400 business leaders, and industry professionals and organisers are expecting to exceed that attendance figure with this year’s busy programme.
The programme will feature local and international industry leaders and experts in their field with presentations, panel discussions, workshops, case studies and facilitated Q&A sessions to deliver valuable information on Ireland and the Irish market and business opportunities as well as practical advice and ideas.
Issues to be addressed will include the ‘Irish Opportunity – Regionally, Nationally and Internationally’; Connectivity; Power Distribution and Green Energy; the Financing of Data Centres and IT Infrastructure Projects; and Data Sovereignty; as well as the burning issue of Irish Planning and Data Centres.
The programme will also have a technical stream, which will include presentations and panel discussions on data centre design and building; updating legacy data centres, cooling, cabling and codes and standards.
Speakers already confirmed include Kevin Foley, Chief Financial Officer, Aqua Comms; Fergus Innes, Managing Director, IFSC; Diane Hodnett, Independent Consultant and Tanya Duncan, Managing Director, Interxion Ireland Ltd.
The DataCentres Ireland Exhibition is central to the event, providing a fulcrum around which it is staged. Attendees will be able to touch, feel, assess and discuss the latest in new technologies from the industry’s most active suppliers and service providers.
Registration is free, and you can view the programme by visiting https://www.datacentres-ireland.com/conference-programme.
