The Irish Life Customer Centre building, at the IDA Finnabair Business Park, Dundalk, has recently achieved LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold certification. Main contractor Stewart Construction partnered with a team of industry specialists to deliver the design and bring the centre from planning through to construction and occupation phase.
The new building is an open plan office space over three floors, with a total gross internal floor area (GIFA) of 57,986 sq ft, with associated car park spaces, bicycle parking and landscaping, as wells as a Category A fit-out on the second-floor area and Category B fit-out on the first-floor area.
The ground floor consists of the main reception area, canteen, meeting rooms, office space, ground floor gym and associated changing rooms. The office spaces are arranged over three levels around a central, naturally top-lit atrium, which provides exceptional daylighting levels down through the floors. A feature open staircase rises to all office levels in this atrium.
Officially opened in August 2019, the Irish Life Customer Centre in Dundalk reinforces Irish Life’s continued commitment to the local economy in the north-east region.
A spokesperson for Stewart Construction says, “The LEED Gold certification is a testament to the collective vision, design and skills of all involved in this project.”
