Construction company Sonica has appointed Domnick Carey as its new commercial director. He joins Sonica from John Sisk & son, where he held the position of Commercial Manager.
Assured and proven record
Donnacha Neary, founder, and Managing Director, Sonica, said of the appointment, “We are delighted to welcome Domnick to the Sonica family. Domnick joins us at a time when our phenomenal growth merits the addition of an assured and proven head of department to oversee the continued development of the high-performing commercial team here at Sonica. Furthermore, his knowledge of large-scale commercial developments will prove invaluable to the wider leadership team, and I’m looking forward to his strategic contributions to the organisation as we target further growth and market share”.
The appointment marks a senior-level restructuring within the company, with Conor Doyle appointed as projects director and Tim Lennon becoming pre-construction director.
Conor Doyle, who joined Sonica in 2015 and is also part of Sonica’s senior leadership team, will now lead the team in the completion of Sonica construction projects. He will also provide oversight to project managers.
Tim Lennon will continue to lead the business development and pre-construction aspect of the business and the development of sister facilities management and property business, Preempt.
Speaking about the company restructure, Donnacha Neary, said, “Tim’s and Conor’s title changes reflect the fact that their skills and expertise in managing projects are key to helping us meet our targets for continued growth. They are already great assets to the Sonica family. They will be overseeing complex projects from pre-construction to completion, offering clients a truly end-to-end service and the support that they have become used to when dealing with Sonica.”
