Glan Agua has a growing reputation in project delivery and a strong pipeline of new business opportunities in the water treatment, supply, and wastewater management sectors. MEIC provides specialist water and wastewater water civil, structural, environmental engineering, and architectural services to support Glan Agua’s work for clients across Ireland. Glan Agua and MEIC’s customers include Irish Water, Thames Water, Affinity Water, Yorkshire Water and several other local authorities in the UK and Ireland. The companies also have expertise in the food and pharmaceutical sectors.

Glan Agua and MEIC were established in 2008 to operate in the water and wastewater sector. In 2017, Glan Agua also expanded to the UK.

Recent projects include the Thurles Regional Supply Scheme, Castletownbere Sewerage Scheme, Process and Network Modifications Framework for Affinity Water and Lot 1 AMP7 Framework for Thames Water.

Glan Agua MEIC Awards

In 2019, the group won the Irish Construction Excellence (ICE) Awards ‘Civil Engineering’ award for the Kerry Central Water Treatment Plant. In 2021, the company was shortlisted for the Water Industry Awards ‘Outstanding Contribution to Environmental Improvement’ for its work with Irish Water on the National Pilot Scheme for Carlow Sludge Drying Reed Beds.
