This year’s Association of Consulting Engineers Ireland (ACEI) Annual Conference with the theme  “Delivery where the only Constant is Change” will take place virtually on Wednesday 03 March from 9.00am to 1.30pm.

Within an overall context of delivering projects in a constantly changing environment, the broad range of expert speakers and panellists will address the themes of “Effective Delivery Process”, National Development Plan Implementation”, and Climate Adaption and Resilience”.

Michael McGrath TD, Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform, will give the opening address, with Ivan Yates taking on MC duties for the event.

ACEI President Conor McCarthy invites registrations to the event from colleagues across the built environment sector as well as government departments and local authorities, adding, “A key aspect of the conference will be the launch of the ACEI Sustainability Vision, and the association looks forward to sharing that with industry stakeholders.”

Elizabeth Grant, Autodesk

Based in London, Elizabeth Grant leads a team of industry experts who deliver insights to improve the product and customer experience for the architecture, engineering and construction industries.

Aine Griffin, Project Ireland 2040

Áine Griffin is responsible for developing and implementing the Government’s Communications Strategy for Project Ireland 2040.  Áine will outline emerging themes arising from the recent National Development Plan consultation, Review to Renew.

Joan Mulvihill, Siemens

As the Digitalisation Lead for Siemens in Ireland, Joan Mulvihill is at the forefront of driving technology adoption and transformation in Ireland. Joan was CEO of the Irish Internet Association for seven years, followed by two years as the Centre Director for the Irish Centre for Cloud Computing and Commerce.

Gerry Carty, RPS Consulting Engineers

Gerry Carty is Managing Director of RPS in Ireland and chairs its management board. Gerry has 40 years’ experience working as an engineer, environmental consultant, regulator and director in the private and public sectors. He was ACEI President in 2019/2020.

Karin Sluis, Witteveen+Bos

Karin Sluis is a civil engineer and expert in urban water management and has been managing director of Witteveen+Bos for seven years, which is a firm focussed on the development of sustainable investment opportunities.

Gemma McCarthy, Mott MacDonald

Gemma McCarthy Mott MacDonald’s Dublin City lead and heads up the consultant team for the Irish onshore consents for the Celtic Interconnector.
