Combilift has commenced construction on a new purpose-built 46,000 m2 greenfield manufacturing facility. At the official ‘sod turning’ ceremony were Minster Heather Humphreys, Enterprise Ireland’s Tom Kelly and Eugene Cummins, Monaghan Co. Co. as well as 350 Combilift Staff.
The facility is larger than originally announced in February and the expansion will position Combilift to double its current €150 million turnover by 2020 employing an additional 200 staff with a further 200 construction jobs.
“Combilift is delighted to break ground on our new facility, it shows our commitment to manufacturing in Monaghan as well as to the regional economy,” said a company spokesperson.
